Enterprises may submit a second application in which the categories of the IT solutions must be different from the approved categories in the first application. They may submit a second application after they have replied to the Secretariat on the result of the first application. The assessment criteria of the Programme remain unchanged. Each enterprise may receive an aggregate funding of up to HK$300,000;
The funding period for subscription-based IT solutions will be extended from 6 months to 12 months. This arrangement is also applicable to applications approved earlier;
The restriction that related entities being regarded as one single entity are not allowed to submit applications will be lifted; and
Social enterprises with certifications issued by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the Distance Business Programme will also be eligible.

What is Distance Business (D-Biz) Programme?
COVID-19 is affecting all kinds of enterprises in Hong Kong. Nowadays, remote working or service has become a new trend against the backdrop of the epidemic. Under the Anti-Epidemic Fund, the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) has launched the Distance Business (D-Biz) Programme to support enterprises to continue their business and services through the adoption of IT solutions with HK$300,000 support per enterprise.
Who are eligible to apply the D-Biz Programme?
All private enterprises (except listed companies, statutory bodies and NGOs funded by the Government) in Hong Kong, are eligible to apply. Qualified enterprise must have valid Business Registration Certificate with business commenced before 1 January 2020 and have substantive business operation in the related industry at the time of application.
What is the funding amount?
The D-Biz Programme will provide 100% funding support to qualified enterprises, subject to a cap of HK$100,000 per IT solution (related training expenses to be capped at 10% of solution cost) and HK$300,000 per enterprise. An initial payment of 30% of the approved funding amount is payable to a designated bank account after the application has been approved.
What kind of projects will be funded by D-Biz Programme?
To facilitate enterprises to identify suitable IT solutions, we will provide Lists of IT Solutions for reference, with a view to expediting processing time and benefiting the enterprises as soon as possible. The List covered 12 categories of IT solutions for supporting distance business.
